“Design thinking provides a way for a leader to engage in the innovation process,” says Mr West. “It helps companies pay closer attention to customers and anticipate the future by constantly testing and refining ideas until the market is ready.

“Ultimately, leaders who think like designers are better at motivating their organisation to innovate. It enables CEOs to move forward with confidence, even though they cannot know exactly where they’re going. It’s a way of leading change.” Read more: http://fro.gd/2gDtIs6

I took a weekend trip to Luoyang, China, with my daughter. It is of particular interest due to the Longmen Grottoes in the area. The temples carved into the stone walls are quite stunning and well worth a visit. There is also the Museum of Luoyang Eastern Zhou Royal Horse and Chariot Pits, holding the remains of the many horses that were sacrificed and immediately buried. It was once held as the capital of China due to its geographical significance in the centre of the country. There is a high speed train that goes near the grottoes and is a short taxi journey away.

Zhengzhou is witness to China’s rapid growth and it is quite awe inspiring to see the city literally grow in such a short period of time. Of course the main issue is the pollution generated by all this growth and coal consumption. China is in a prime position to change world attitudes to energy though and they could lead the way for renewables in the future—I hope anyway!

IIS 7.0

Install the Microsoft IIS 7 re-write module. It will add two files to the root of the Joomla installation: htaccess and web. config.

The files will not have extensions at the end of the file name.

In the root Joomla install there will be a file named web. config.txt, open this up and copy the contents from and including to .
Paste this into the web. config file generated by the re-write module, between and restart the IIS 7 service and check if the re-write module has both Joomla Rules imported.

In the Joomla backend you can switch on URL re-writing and see if it works!

Make sure you have fastCGI enabled to handle php.

This is what web. config should look like:
